Patrick Dempsey is working double duty these days. Not only is he fighting cancer at Seattle Grace, he also has his hands full with the upcoming dedication of the 'Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing, in Lewiston Maine.
Patrick was inspired by his mom to make the center a reality. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, in 1997. After being treated initially and then twice for the recurring illness, she is today cancer free.
The facility is scheduled to open later this month. It will be a source of information and healing for cancer patients and their families. Way to go Dr. McDreamy!

Patrick Dempsey graces the cover of TV Guide, looking sexy as always. The issue covers the 130 hottest returning shows, and features an exclusive interview with Patrick Dempsey regarding Derek and Meredith, life without Isaiah, and the joys of fatherhood.
Earlier this year, in the April 1st issue, Dempsey was named "TV's Sexiest Man" by the editors of TV Guide. Grey's Anatomy was also voted in as "TV's sexiest show."

Dempsey's wife, Jillian Fink, gave birth to twin boys Thursday, the actor's representative confirms to several news outlets. Darby Galen and Sullivan Patrick Dempsey are both doing well, as is the boys' mother (Galen is Patrick Dempsey's middle name).
The couple, who've been married since 1999, also have a 5-year-old daughter, Talula.
Dempsey plays Dr. Derek Shepherd on "Grey's Anatomy," which won the Screen Actors Guild Award for best ensemble cast in a drama series last week. He's also been nominated for a Golden Globe in each of the past two years.
He also co-stars with Hilary Swank in the movie "Freedom Writers."
